Credit system

What is a credit-based subscription system?

A credit based subscription system works on the concept of using your available credits to view lectures on the LearnCab portal. Every student who enrols on the LearnCab portal as a paid subscriber is granted 150 credits for every 30 days of his subscription period.

What is a credit?

A credit is essentially a token you redeem to access content on the LearnCab portal. You are granted access to a lecture upon redeeming the number of credits required to watch that particular lecture (usually 1 credit for 1 lecture). A lecture consists of a collection of playlists where each playlist contains videos, study notes, quizzes (MCQ, Fill in the blanks …) and trivia.

If I use a credit(s) to access a lecture, how many times can I view the same lecture?

Once you use a credit(s) to access a lecture, the lecture will be open for 8 hours. During this time, you can view the contents as many times as you want. But, after 8 hours, you will need to use another credit(s) to access the lecture again.

What happens to any unused credits at the end of 30 days? Can I get it transferred to the subsequent month?

Any unused credits will expire at the end of 30 days. You will not be able to carry them forward to the next month.

Why does LearnCab use the credit-based subscription system?

The credit-based subscription system helps to reduce prices for the student almost 3 fold without any compromise on content quality.

Why 150 credits a month?

As per our internal research, 5 to 6 hours is the maximum effective study time for a normal student. Based on this data, we have fixed 150 credits as the monthly limit.

What is a lecture on LearnCab? How can I access a lecture?

A lecture on LearnCab is a collection of playlists. Each playlist contains videos, study notes, quizzes (MCQ, Fill in the blanks ...) and trivia. You can access a lecture by redeeming the number of credits required to watch that particular lecture. In rare instances, you might have to use two credits to access a lecture.

Content

After subscription, will I get access to all papers of the Level of the Course which I am pursuing?

Your subscription grants you access to all the content relevant to your course level available on the portal at any given point of time. We are constantly developing content for every single paper in all courses. Please refer to the relevant course page for details on what papers are currently available. You will be intimated as and when new content related to your course level is available on the site, and this content is available to you at no additional cost.

How are the lectures on LearnCab designed?

The lectures are outlined and designed by our individual faculty. Our faculty are professionals hand-picked from the industry and teaching domain.

How much time will it take to go through a lecture?
As you know, a lecture is a collection of playlists where each playlist contains videos, study notes, quizzes and trivia. The average time it will take to go through a lecture is about an hour. It depends entirely on the learning capability of a student.
What happens if the syllabus changes? Will the lectures be updated?

Yes! Our team constantly tracks the amendments made in the syllabi, and we update our lectures to reflect such changes.

Before using a credit, will I get to know what topics are covered in the lecture?

Yes! Before consuming a credit, you will have the opportunity to go through the lists of topics covered.

Do I need to pay more if and when LearnCab adds more content related to my course level to the portal?

No. As long as your subscription is active, you will have access to all the content that is added to your course level. In short, once you subscribe, you don't have to pay any additional fees to view any lectures added or modified for your course level.

What are the subscription packs for which a switchover option is available?

We offer a switchover option for packs of 1 year, 2 years and 3 years.

Pricing

What is a month on LearnCab?

A month on LearnCab is 30 days. So, if you subscribe for 6 months, you get 180 days access. Access is calculated from the time of purchase. For example, if you subscribe for a single monthly package at 2 p.m. on, say 3rd July, your access will expire at 2 p.m. on 2nd August.

What is the switch-over policy?

If you have completed your present level of studies and have purchased a pack eligible for switchover, you may raise a request to move on to the next level by sending an email to switchover@learnCab.com. E.g; if you subscribed to a 1 Year Pack while doing your CA Foundation, and cleared that exam 3 months into the subscription, you may request us to switch you over to CA Intermediate for the remainder of your subscription

Do I need to pay separate charges for accessing the lectures through Android Phone?

Our subscription includes access across all available platforms. There are no separate charges for accessing the platform from your phone, even if you subscribed using your computer.

We are a group of students who wish to subscribe. Do you offer any group discounts?

Yes. Just drop an email to offers@learncab.com

Do you offer any assistance to low income students?

Yes. Please write to us at support@learncab.com with the student's details.

We are a college/institution and we have students who pursue courses. Can we have a tie-up?

Technical Assistance

I faced a technical problem while subscribing. Although my account is debited, the lectures have not been activated. What do I do now?
